After 'X-Men: Apocalypse' was unveiled last week, James McAvoy reveals that he will appear in the much talked-about sequel… but he doesn't know much more than that.
In one of the vaguest movie announcements this year, 'X-Men' director Bryan Singer revealed that yet-another sequel would be coming in 2016 - 'X-Men: Apocalypse'. But while Marvel fans have been eagerly speculating about how Apocalypse will fit into the on-going story, it looks as though the stars of the movie are none the wiser…

In an interview with RCNTV, 'X-Men' star James McAvoy revealed that he has no idea what's coming in 'X-men: Apocalypse'… and he hadn't actually heard of the movie until that very morning.
"I only heard about [it] this morning," he said. And when asked if he could reveal anything about the upcoming movie, he was rather obviously tight-lipped. "Nah," he said. "[Bryan]'s still in the editing room for 'Days of Future Past'."
On the subject of 'Days of Future Past' McAvoy revealed that it's the biggest 'X-Men' movie yet… and with the cast of the original 'X-Men' films as well as 'First Class' it's hard to argue with that.
But what's his favourite aspect of being one of the iconic X-Men?
"The personal pleasure for me in 'First Class' was in presenting a Charles Xavier to the fans who is very different to the Charles that you expected," he explained. "But he was still like 'everything is going good'. In the second movie, I get to present another version of Charles Xavier who is still very different to the Charles that used to exist but he's also remarkably different from the Charles in 'First Class' as well. What's great is that, even though it's a sequel, even though it's a franchise, I keep getting to reinvent Charles Xavier and that's amazing."

But with another 'X-Men' movie coming to our screens in 2016, does this mean McAvoy will appear as Xavier once again? And would he even like to return?
"I'm contracted to do so," he said with a smile. "And yes, I would."
So there you have it - more Charles Xavier to come in 'X-Men: Apocalypse'. But quite how he handles the threat of an ancient mutant remains to be seen. Will he be able to turn to an old friend for help? Or will Magneto be otherwise indisposed? It looks as though we'll have to wait to find out.
