COMMENT | After plenty of rumours, it looks as though Agent Peggy Carter will get her own TV series… starring none other than Hayley Atwell.
That's right folks - after 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' and the recently announced Defenders Netflix deal, it looks as though Marvel is ramping up their TV efforts with yet-another new series… and this time, it's the much-rumoured Agent Carter spin-off. And with the one-shot proving popular amongst fans, it seems that Hayley Atwell is back as the feisty British officer.

According to The Mirror, Hayley Atwell will be relocating to LA for six months to begin shooting the all-new Marvel TV series.
"The London-born actress, 31, is about to start work on Agent Carter, which will be out at the end of the year. It comes just weeks after she completed filming on the second Capt America movie, playing bolshy agent, Peggy Carter."
And according to their anonymous source, this is likely to be a huge deal for Marvel fans. "It's Marvel's major project of 2014," they explain. "And it will be a big budget production. Hayley is absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity and is incredibly grateful to Marvel fans who have basically been campaigning for a spin-off show for the past six months. It means moving to LA for six months but her friends and family are all behind her, and this is a huge opportunity."
Of course, there's been plenty of talk about the rumoured series… and just a few months ago, Hayley Atwell added fuel to the fire by explaining that she'd love to be a part of it.

"The one-shot was so successful, the fan base were like, 'We want more of Peggy!'," she said. "I think Marvel probably take that very seriously, and it's certainly something I would be a part of doing. I'd be interested to show different sides of Peggy. Although she's kick-ass, and she can be aggressive and just as competent as the men, it'd be nice to show that she's a feminist in a way. It's not just about her being aggressive and as aggressive as the men in those action sequences, but being able to be a little bit more rounded as a person."
Reprising the role for the upcoming 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' it looks as though Agent Peggy Carter will be around for some time. But what new threats will she face in her own TV series? And will it tie into the Marvel Cinematic Universe? For now, we'll just have to wait to find out.
