COMMENT | After auditioning for the upcoming 'Star Wars' sequels, Jesse Plemons has been tipped for a major role in 'Star Wars: Episode VII'.
If you're a fan of 'Breaking Bad' or 'Saturday Night Lights', you're bound to have already stumbled upon the rather impressive talents of Jesse Plemons. Known for starring opposite Bryan Cranston in the hit TV show, he's been one to watch for some time. And now it looks as though 'Star Wars' casting directors have been paying close attention to this bright young star… as he finds himself tipped for a role in 'Star Wars: Episode VII'.

According to The Wrap, the 25-year-old 'Breaking Bad' actor has already auditioned for a leading role in 'Star Wars: Episode VII'. And apparently, he's due back for another round in front of J.J. Abrams himself.
"Plemons has already taped an audition that was well-received by those involved in the casting process," they explain. "And he'll by flying in to Los Angeles from Austin, Texas for a second audition that will bring him face-to-face with Abrams."
Unfortunately, there are no further details of the part Plemons might be up for… In fact, all we know so far is that it's apparently a leading role. Of course, it's already been pointed out that he bears a certain resemblance to Mark Hamill. And it's suggested that he may land a role as Luke Skywalker's offspring.

But with rumours of a number of young protagonists (including two male and one female) it's easy to see Plemons fitting in somewhere.
Of course, we should probably point out that nobody has been officially cast. At least, not yet. But since multiple sources have indicated that Plemons is going in for an audition with Abrams himself, it looks as though the casting process may be coming to an end. And that could mean some major announcements in the weeks to come.
For now, it looks as though we'll just have to wait and see. But the Force is certainly strong with this one.
