COMMENT | After a minor backlash as Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman, it looks as though 'Fast and Furious' co-star Vin Diesel has decided to show his support.
Everyone remembers the enormous outcry of DC fans when Ben Affleck was cast as the all-new Batman. And while the recent news of Gal Gadot nabbing the role of Wonder Woman wasn't quite so controversial, it was still met with scepticism. Rushing to her defence, it looks as though Vin Diesel supports his pal Gal… and thinks she'll make an excellent Wonder Woman.

Taking to Facebook in support of his pal, Vin Diesel left this message of congratulations… and gave us a little background on her recruitment to the 'Fast and Furious' franchise.
"In 2008, she sent in a self made video audition for FF4. Two weeks later, she became Gisele in Our saga…"
"Now, she is Wonder Woman… so proud of you angel."
Posting an image of Gadot alongside her mother, Diesel added: "Yeah, to the left… that's Wonder Mom."

"P.S. Acuérdate… believe in yourself, for it's costs you nothing and often leads to great things."
A touching message from her fellow co-star… and despite the fact that he's set to appear as Groot in Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy' it's nice to see that he's pleased for his fellow superhero. And obviously rather proud of Gadot's accomplishment.
Of course, whether or not she's any good in the role remains to be seen. But I have to admit, I'm becoming more accustomed to the idea by the day. And I get the feeling she'll put in a solid performance as everyone's favourite Amazonian. Now we just have to see what she looks like in the new costume…
