Brian Tyler to score Avengers: Age of Ultron?

COMMENT | It looks as though Marvel composer Brian Tyler may have signed up for 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'… but will he become Marvel's answer to Hans Zimmer?
After working on both of Marvel's current 'Phase Two' offerings, it looks as though accomplished composer Brian Tyler may be heading back to the studio once more for 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'. And after the epic scores of both 'Iron Man 3' and 'Thor: The Dark World' we can hardly blame Marvel for sticking with such an incredible composer. But will he carry on his good work into 'Phase Three'?

According to music forum Film Score Monthly, the 41-year-old film composer is apparently on board for Marvel's upcoming 'Avengers' sequel.
"Brian Tyler has signed on to score Marvel Studios' upcoming superhero sequel 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron'," said regular forum contributor Adam Krysinski. And it looks as though it hasn't exactly come as much of a surprise.
Back in June last year, the composer spoke to Huff Post Live at length about scoring 'Thor: The Dark World' and mentioned that he would "get to do something completely different and I'm really excited about that project."
There were even some eager movie soundtrack buffs who hinted at his involvement via twitter… and it looks as though he may have been considered for some time.
Good on Brian Tyler for landing #ThorTheDarkWorld. I also know who is slated to score #TheAvengers2, but can't say. :)

Obviously, scoring both 'Iron Man 3' and 'Thor: The Dark World' puts him at a distinct advantage. He's already familiar with the creative direction of Marvel's existing 'Phase Two' movies… and after the rather epic 'Iron Man 3' soundtrack it's likely that he turned quite a few heads.
Now, this is just a rumour until confirmed by Marvel… but I'd say it's pretty likely. But will he return to score any 'Phase Three' movies? For now, we'll have to wait to find out.
What do you think of Brian Tyler's previous work? Is he the right composer for 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'? Let us know what you think in the comments below…
