Following a sneak peek at the weird and wonderful world of Guardians of the Galaxy in the Thor 2 mid-credits scene, interest has piqued regarding James Gunn's upcoming Marvel movie.
Much of the curiosity lies around one character in particular - the loved Rocket Racoon, who'll be voiced by Bradley Cooper.
But while some are unsure of the casting, those involved in the project are confident the actor can own the character's trademark wit.
Speaking to IGN, Chris Pratt was 100% behind his co-star.
"It's a really good choice," the actor said when questioned about the casting. "You need a really good actor to play Rocket Racoon and also he brings a star quality to this movie that is really a benefit. We have a great cast of good actors but we don't have Bradley Cooper in the movie until we have Bradley Cooper in the movie, so that's really an amazing boon for us. We're super excited.
"And I really trust James Gun, he had a reason for choosing Bradley and he's saying the voice that they've been working on is really awesome - so he's not just going to be doing Bradley Cooper he'll be doing the voice of Rocket, which is the best character in the movie. I can't wait to meet him, I'm a really big fan."
Speaking of that voice, Bradley Cooper was quizzed on the subject at a press junket for David O. Russell's upcoming film, American Hustle.
"One thing we debated was…he’s seen as a cockney accent sometimes, so we talked about whether we’d do that or do this sort of other guy from the city a little bit," he told Collider.

Pratt also took the opportunity to enthuse about another colleague, Benicio Del Toro, who takes on the role of Marvel's creepy Collector in the movie.
"I got to work with Benicio Del Toro and it was awesome," said the actor.
"He is truly an artist. He's captivating to watch, I learned so much watching him. He's the king of behaviour. He's doing something physically that isn't on the page - it's something that he brought. I aspire to be able to do something like that.
