After admitting he'd recently auditioned for 'Star Wars VII', Michael B. Jordan reveals that he may be in the running after all.
I know what you're thinking - Michael B. Jordan has already spoken out about his 'Star Wars' aspirations. And you'd be right. He did recently admit that he auditioned for 'Episode VII'.
But did he get the part? It looks as though the man himself is none the wiser… but he seems pretty happy to even be considered for a role in the galaxy far, far away.
In an interview with We Got This Covered, Jordan addressed those 'Star Wars' rumours… and while he didn't confirm anything, he certainly didn't deny it either.
"With 'Star Wars' and all these other franchises, Fantastic Four and stuff like that, it's good to be in the mix of those conversations. You know, it wasn't like that before, so it's kind of cool to be in those conversations right now."
"You trying to get me in trouble?"
Obviously, this is by no means an admission that he's landed a role. But the fact that he's auditioned(and it seems he's being considered) certainly strengthens those earlier rumours. Of course, we're unlikely to find out how he got on for some time yet… but it doesn't look as though he's been turned down. And that has to be promising.
Regardless of whether he's landed the 'Star Wars' gig, it looks as though he may already be preparing for the next role that comes his way…
"I'm actually just starting to get back in shape," he said. "I get back to LA, see my nutritionist, start training, eating right, getting my body right… so just in case any films, any roles come up in the future that I might need to be in shape for - I'll be in shape."
But is he actually getting in shape to help with the upper body strength required from all those potential lightsaber battles? For now we'll have to wait and see. But it's certainly not impossible.
