After a number of packed out 'Star Wars' auditions across the globe, it looks as though the 'Episode VII' open auditions are finally over.
If you wanted to prove you're worthy of wielding a lightsaber on the big screen, it seems you're out of time… as the 'Star Wars VII' open auditions finally come to a close.
But after scouring the globe for the next generation of Skywalkers, will we see a couple of young, British actors in the starring roles?
According to a Disney spokesperson, the 'Star Wars: Episode VII' online auditions have come to an end today… and this marks the end of your chance to appear in the new trilogy.
"We are no longer accepting submissions and are now viewing all the online auditions," said Claire Curry on Twitter. "We will be in touch only if you are successful. Thanks."
"We had a great a time and you were all brilliant for coming and getting involved!" But if you thought you could wangle some extra time, you might have difficulty getting in touch. "Now it's all over we are closing the twitter account."
"We will contact you in the new year if you are successful," she added. "Thanks again, it's been a really great month… now to start the viewing process!"
After such a successful campaign, I dread to think how many auditions they have to sift through… After all, over two thousand 'Star Wars' hopefuls turned up for the first day of auditions in Bristol alone. And with online submissions, it's likely to be more than we'd want to count.
So if you were planning to submit your audition tape anytime soon, it looks as though you're out of luck. But to the countless others who already sent theirs through, this could be the start of an epic journey into the galaxy far, far away. Let's just hope we see someone British in a leading role.
